Nature: our eternal provider

It is interesting to observe humanity fighting and complaining about what they desire to own: a piece of land, a house, cars, a partner, their children, a job, a company, their friends. We get so much attachment to everything and everyone that we get lost in who we truly are and why we are here. We get disappointed when what we thought was our dream ends up not happening. We get disappointed when that person that we think we love the most is not in love with us. We get disappointed when that promotion we worked so hard to get goes to anyone else. We get angry, and frustrated at God, at the Universe, at ourselves, at everyone around us because we feel entitled to have it as we wake up every day and we are focused. Only we know how much we had to let go to have that object of desire. And again, life seems like a punishment when we cannot have it.

As Shakespeare used to say: "There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, Than are dreamt of in your philosophy."

We, human beings have not yet realized how much we are NOT entitled to anything. How much we are ungrateful when we are not able to be grateful for everything we have right now: How much we have been provided for. How much incapable of OWNING anything we are.

We don't own anything.

Our body is made of atoms that nature provides. Our body is made of 80% of water that nature provides. Our body needs air to breathe that nature provides. Our body needs heat to regulate its temperature, which nature provides. Nature provides EVERY SINGLE THING we need in this life from the air that we breathe to the movement of our body. We are 100% dependent on nature to live. That's why it is called human NATURE. Because we are 100% made of nature. We OWN NOTHING, not even ourselves. How come we think we can own a car, a job, or a person? By looking from this perspective we can really humble ourselves and understand that we are being provided 100% of our time with everything - LITERALLY everything we need to be on this planet. If we, humans have understood this truth, we would spend every single second of our lives in eternal gratitude for that one other second of life. And what do we do, instead? We destroy nature. We destroy what maintains nature in harmony: flora, and fauna. We destroy our bodies, which are all made of nature. We destroy everything that is provided for us every day. We put inside of the body many toxins and things that most of the time WE KNOW that it will disturb and deteriorate the body.

Why so much hatred? It is very normal to think that if we are already destroying our source of survival, we are also destroying one another through wars and a lot of fighting for something that can NEVER be ours. It can never be owned: land, nature.

Do we realize that at any time an earthquake can come and destroy everything humans are fighting for? Do we realize that a big tornado can destroy a whole city with its population in a couple of seconds? Then people started having compassion and praying for the people who had their houses and lives destroyed. It is good to have compassion, but at the end, It was never ours to begin with. When this happens, nature is just taking back what it always belonged to her. What do we own again? Do we have any power, can we ever have any power over anything on this planet? Never. Nothing. Ever.

I think the important message here is that you are SO LUCKY you can even read this. It means you are breathing. You are not blind. You know how to read. Shouldn't you feel compassion for your fellows who lost their houses and lives? Of course, you should. But please have also compassion for all the other ones that are not losing anything in the war, but are still destroying everything. Have compassion for yourself and every single human being because you might still destroy your own body when you give it something that you know is toxic (or that you don't know yet). Have compassion for the human race that is so ignorant that is destroying its own source of life. Have lots of compassion. Learn how to live in compassion so you don't use anything that can harm your body, your mind or your soul. Humanity needs compassion. Lots of it. But ownership too. Not the type that thinks that owns a house, q country or a body. Ownership of your everyday actions towards the blessings you are receiving FOR FREE. Own it. Make the best of it. Be grateful for it and GIVE IT BACK by loving and respecting VERY SINGLE LIVING BEING on this planet: animals, bugs, trees, flowers, nature - and more important yourself and your fellow humans. This message is not a judgment. Not a criticism. It's a wake-up call. A-call-to-action. Receive it with love - and compassion.

Please receive my light and blessings to your day! Agatha Lakshmi
